Summarizing this process we observe that the output value of Activity 3 is calculated by applying two 窶徙perators窶: the 窶廴aximum窶 operator and the 窶彜um窶 operator. The first operator is applied to the values passed on from Activity 1 and 2. The second operator is used to combine the global input and the local value (duration).
